The Season of Advent is upon us!

Our class will be a part of St. James Christmas musical "Miracle on Bethlehem Street" singing "D' Ou Viens Tu Bergere (Where Have You Been)".
There will be two performances. You are welcome at either time(1st Show: 10:30 am/ 2nd Show: 2:15 pm)
Costumes: For the performance some children have chosen to dress as a sheep (holding sheep masks - dressed in white or grey tops, black bottoms) or as Shepherds (tea towel/hand towel on head, robe or dressed in black top and bottom). Please send in these items by Tuesday, Dec. 11th.

Religion/Family Life: Advent
Math: Using "making 10" strategy when adding multiple numbers (ex. 8+2+3=_), explaining math thinking with words, 2D shapes, time to the half and quarter hour
Language: Reading strategy - Questioning/Making connections. Writing: Writing sentences using adjectives, writing a descriptive paragraph, friendly letters)
Science: Using science language to describe Matter (solid, liquids, gas), exploring weather (Air and Water Unit)
Arts: Music: singing together in unison/ finding the repeating pattern in the music
Gym: cooperative games/ eye-hand coordination skills through Tennis/badminton
Health: WITS/Zones of Regulation/Healthy Choices in play yard and in our neighborhood
